Cold Pattern...ridging, Polar Vortex, Etc.

From A Person On Long Island Or On The East For This Matter, They Have No Clue What's Coming...or At The Least The Un-meteorological Because Of The Weather As I Am Writing This. All The Models (even The Gfs) Have Come In Agreement That An Extremely Cold Pattern Is On The Way. Though The Gfs Did Have Some Initial Trouble Phasing The Northern And Southern Branch, It Appears Much Better. The Next Short-wave Will Be Approaching For The Thursday- Friday Time Period, This Time The Trof Will Be Able To Hold The Cold Air, Which Will Suppress The Jet And Hasta La Vista Southeast Ridge!!! A Vortex Reforms In Eastern-southern Canada About 112 Hours Out (roughly), And Making A Text-book Square-like Trof...also The Pna, Ao, Are Setting Up For Cross-polar Flow, For The Vortex To Play Around With. The Only Thing That Doesn't Seem To Be Adding Up Is The Nao, Which Is All Over The Place. But That Can Change And In Favor Of A Winter Patter, Which Would Pull Even More Arctic Air Down (long Story). Enhanced Chances For A White Christmas This Year. Now Who Said, There Was Going To Be No Winter?
