Is coming. The GFS has temps -25 C over our heads in LI, about 200something hours out. Crazy, there will be a super front setting up in the eastern plains. Severe weather is very likely. There is a very high chance of a superstorm after Jan. 15.

Keith,
The cold is coming, absolutely...it's friggin' January fer chrissakes...But not before next Monday (the 17th) at the earliest and you know how much faith I place in the Good For Shit (GFS) model suite.
Interesting e-mail to Bastardi today mentioned that CPC "supposedly" mentioned there would be a storm (didn't say when) affecting the entire nation from coast to coast. Went on CPC and couldn't find anything on it, so I put no faith that they issued any such prediction.
Here on LI we may get a bit of sleet after midnight, but then it's WARMUP time (woo-hoo) next week. May hit 60! Goes downhill after that, and then by the weekend, that polar flow finally breaks thru the ridge and the trof drops down by Rollie.
That's in a way good, because I want to see a friggin' blizzard at Foxboro.
