You should open the boards to annon's to post....it would really increase the amount of posting and decrease the amount of dead users. Just a suggestion....

That's a dicey proposition, Keith. Mike C. likes that option, which is currently in effect at www.flhurricane.com (http://www.flhurricane.com) but you need like 6 mods on top of shit when it's peak season. Sure, we can track the IP address and ban as necessary, but oftentimes a rogue post or 4 can get thru before we have a chance to clean stuff up. I may seem like I'm on this board or CFHC 24/7, but that's not always the case.

And it's always what I call the "chuck & duck" anons who ruin the party. I'd say to James to do it NOW, but to put on the breaks after 6/1. It took me the better part of 3 weeks to convince Mike to go into Lockdown Mode this past season.

Truth be told, though, opening up posting to anons won't really increase the number of posts anyway...James can still see their IP address, so it's not a deterrent for an anon.

What bothers me about SOME of the weather sites is that you HAVE to register just to read others' posts, even if you yourself don't want to view user comments. I won't register with those sites. And they know who they are.

Let me freely view others comments without making me register, that's BS. I can understand making one register to actually POST, but just to view? F-that!
