Why on earth would two apache (sp?) helicopters fly over Charlotte? I was cleaning up the kitchen (DADDY IS COMING HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL TODAY!) and all of a sudden I heard helicopters, but they were so loud I thought one was landing in my cul-de-sac! So I walked to the front door and heard the loud *WOOSH* and ran to my back porch in time to see them fly directly over my house... it was a little freaky! My cat was scared sh!tless and my whole house shook!
Does anybody know why that would happen? I'm gonna look it up on my news sites in a little bit, but I wanted to post up and see if anybody had any insight!

That is something they call training manuvers/site seeing. When we had the A-10 wing in Alexandria, they (A-10's) would fly over to Henderson and practice straffing runs on us innocent fishermen. Henderson is about 100 miles form the old air base.
A-10 - my all time favorite!

Checking out forest fires close to your area? They do that around here sometimes.

Couldn't be. Ginger has said before that there are no bushes in her cul-de-sac.
