Can I have help with the following questions. I need information to work with and help at least beginning to answer the question. I don't know where to start (well not much). I have to do research for internet references, so I still have to do my own work mostly.

Here's the first one:

Air Pressure and Winds
i) If you live in the Northern Hemisphere and a region of surface low pressure is directly west of you, what would probably be the surface wind direction at your home? If an upper-level low is also directly west of you location, describe the probable wind direction aloft and the direction in which middle-type clouds would move. How would the wind direction and speed change from the surface to where the middle clouds are located?
ii) Discuss the role of atmospheric pressure and flying. For example, pilots often use the expression "high to low look out below". What is the meaning behind this phrase? As another example, suppose an aircraft using a pressure altimeter flies along a constant pressure surface from standard temperature into warmer-than-standard air without any corrections to the altimeter. What might be the the effect? How would a private pilot of a small airplane avoid these problems?

Don’t forget your Internet references.

And here's the second one:

Circulation of the Atmosphere
i) List the scales of atmospheric motion from largest to smallest and give an example of each. From what you know about the various types of wind systems, how are the size and duration related?
ii) What occurs during a major El Nino event? How might this affect global wind and precipitation patterns?

Don’t forget your Internet references.

Thanks, guys!

I'm finishing up (well almost) my two year degree at a community college.

shouldn't you be doing your own homework?

My mind is kinda lost. I'm having a hard time thinking with the stuff that has been going on. My grandma is near her death (she has cancer) and my mom is going hysterical. Also, in addition to this I've had to deal with work and homeschooling brother. Schoolwork has sorta been put to the back burner. But either way, I am going to get it done tonight. I feel like I'm out of motivation to do anything whatsoever, but I will try to get it done. I'm about a couple weeks behind on my work. I will try to catch up though. They're internet classes, so they allow for more flexibility.

just have to deal with it, I guess. I did get 3 out of 4 done last night. Was too tired and lost to finish the last one. These questions are quite hard.

Starfish - sorry for your loss. I lost my grandmother in '92 to cancer as well. It is not easy to watch a loved one go through that and I am very sorry for your loss.
