:evil: I had a long post ready in here but it never got through & took me back to the login page. I will make this post shorter & to the point. If anyone here posts at storm2k you may have seen the feedback in response to my email to mike pitt. In a nut shell I basically told him he was a fake for being on Bob's shows at s2k whe he did nothing but slam s2k for two years. Well he decided to post it at s2k board & everyone started getting on me. Let me respond to those folks in here since it cant be posted over at s2k,also the posters at my board are already aware of it & dont want to rehash it. #1) Hurricanecity will be around as long as I am alive,so I will not dry up & blow away.
#2)I introduced bob to broadcasting weather,he is not a pioneer by any stretch of the imagination. Infact I was broadcasting before he even owned a computer.
3)Storm2k has recruited people from my board & others for years & plagarized my "hurricane warning show" calling it "eye on the storm" Bob now does a hurricane season kickoff show "gee where did he ever get that idea?" I have been doing a hurricane season kickoff show since 1998. I also have a toll free # for people to call in for years & now they are doing that too. The next thing you know they will be streaming the hurricane watch net & radio from the affected areas like I already do.
4) We're # 1 they claim WTF?? #1 at what? stealing both people & ideas. I will be producing live video this year & wanna bet they will try to copy that too.
Look the internet is free for anybody to produce what they want but to claim originality & pioneerism is rediculous. I am sure this did not need to be said but just incase anyone is new online & not hip to s2k's ways look out.
5)I am not going to get into a pissing contest with Bob & s2k but rest assured I am not going to dissappear & hurricanecity and the broadcast's will go on bigger & better than ever & I promise I wont yell "IM #1" but I will defend my product's at all costs. I was taking punches at s2k & james came to my defense but as usual it was erased. I am once again bracing for the "come to storm2k" posts at my board & here as soon as things pick up. When you type hurricane tracking in any search engine ,storm2k is not to be found so they use any means possible to draw people over there & I am sick & tired of this group & the arrogant people that run it. When I say stop shitting on my lawn I mean it,stay out & stop stealing my ideas. OH & Derecho I do know that the GFS was the AVN, anytime you want to call in & debate me on hurricanes bring it on. And by the way the A98E did very well with Mitch & Georges that so called model you call garbage.

Well okay, but I don't think he can be faulted for doing these broadcasts. If he had seen you show and thought it was a good idea, then he should just say so. but I don't think what he has done is illegal, however there may be a little ignorance involved. I'll be honest, I didn't know you did an internet broadcast. Obviously Storm2K with its success is an excellent advertisement oppurtunity for Bob for sure. either way, maybe I will give you a listen, are you still doing these broadcasts, and how can I get to them.

He only had 25 listeners max for his last show. No more than he had on my broadcast. Infact when hurricanes approach land my audiocast server from last year would reach its maximumcapacity in less than 5 min of 60 listeners. This year I can handle up to 5,000 so we will see how many listen but rest assured it will be more than bob gets at s2k.

I mentioned hurricanecity at least 4 times in my post http://www.hurricanecity.com I use a private server,not shoutcast.& for bobs show I get the stats from the shoutcast server stats available to the public. I dont want to get into an argument with you just go see for yourself..

if you believe those stats, I can sell you the brooklyn bridge. ANybody can come out & type 32gig.784 listeners with average time of 42 min in a message board & make it stick ,but like I said before just go to shoutcast next time they broadcast & watch the numbers for yourself. I must admit that Bob's shows are terminally boring.Even when he was doing the show with Jim it was utterly painful to listen to.The guy loses his train of thought more times than I can count,then I can barely hear him at times & its just not interesting.To be honest I am glad Jim does a show by himself now.You can at least get a feel that Jim has a passion for what he is doing.Bob puts me to sleep.

Having said that I do not have nothing against Bob on a personal level but his shows stink up the place something really bad.

Marilyn this is why I left storm2k because they rude to me also. I had over 600 posted messages with nothing but insults towards me for posting that a storm may hit the east coast because of the way it was traveling. Even the admin chad was rude and childish. Everytime I see the name storm 2k! well I decided not to say anything. Its probably the best thing. :?

Bob, one question, if you dont mind :) You state that s2k is a great board, and that you havent found many things that can be considered rude, but I am wondering what your opinion of rude is?, considering you just made a rude statement to James about his spelling.
We dont mock people here at this board, we dont say rude things to each other that would be taken as an insult. I guess you and S2k have different opinions as to what is considered rude compared to the rest of the forums.

Hmm, very interesting question there. I would say that that being rude is calling people names when it is unwarranted, downgrading someone, or saying things about people behind their back (ahem!). Is this a good definition for you Cass? To everyone here, if you ever did like S2k, and even have the slightest hint of wanting to go back, talk to me and I will deal with the mods and admins and question them for what has been going on. I am not on the admin staff Stormytoo. I understand how you feel and wil respect your decision. I am one of the what you would call good people there. Yes, I will admit there are are some people there I don't like, but I tend to stay away from them and not looking at their posts. You are correct, people should not treat people rude. I feel sorry for you since you say that you were learning and they made you feel stupid. That just shows how a few people on the board can wreck the fun for everyone else. If you ever need help learning any weather term or anything related to weather, feel free to write back. I will stay away from the ticka part of your post, as I don't like her for what she did. Anyway, I'm sorry that's how you feel, but life must go on. Enjoy what weather boards you like and I hope to see ya around this board from time to time.
