.the Natl Weather Svc In Mobile Has Issued An Urban Flood
Advisory Effective Until 500 Pm Cdt Tues Afternoon For People In
The Following Counties.

In Sw Al.mobile County.

At 259 Pm Cdt.weather Svc Doppler Radar Indicated Heavy Rain
From Thunderstorms Along A Line Extending From Georgetown To Oak
Grove To Eight Mile To Cochrane Bridge. The Line Of Storms Were
Moving Slowly To The Sw Between 5 & 10 Mph.

The City Of Mobile Will Experience Rapid Runoff As These Storms Are
Producing Rainfall Up To 2.5 Inches Per Hour. The Rapid Runoff Will
Cause Rapid Rises In Drainage Culverts.concrete Lines Creeks &
Low Lying Areas Throughout The City. These Storms Are Also
Associated With Frequent Cloud To Ground Lightning. Seek Cover
Until The Storm Passes.

An Urban & Small Stream Flood Advisory Means That Excessive Runoff
Could Cause Minor Nuisance Flooding Of Creeks.streams.& Other
Low Lying Flood Prone Areas.especially Along Poor Drainage
Roadways.streets & Underpasses.

Remember.do Not Drive Your Vehicle Into Areas Where The Water
Covers The Roadway. The Water Depth May Be Too Great To Allow Your
Vehicle To Cross Safely. Vehicles Caught In Rising Water Should Be
Abandoned Quickly. Move To Higher Ground

Exactly, Keith. Floods happen way to much in the mind of the NWS.

The storm broke into 2 parts one went east of me and the other went west of me . I didn't get a drop.

yes they do, they're like the boy who cried wolf. And what just happened with James is a perfect example.

I think most of it is for emergency managers anyway.
