The National Weather Service In Norman Has Issued A

* Flash Flood Watch For Portions Of Central Oklahoma... Western Oklahoma... And Northern Oklahoma.

* From 7 PM CDT This Evening To Monday Morning

* Areas Of Showers And Thunderstorms Are Moving Across Parts Of Western And Northern Oklahoma This Afternoon. Showers And Thunderstorms Are Expected To Become More Widespread Later This Afternoon And Evening As An Upper Level Disturbance Over The Texas Panhandle Moves Slowly Eastward. Rainfall Amounts Of 1 To 3 Inches... With Locally Higher Amounts... Will Be Possible Overnight From West Central Oklahoma Into Portions Of Central And North Central Oklahoma. The Soil In This Area Is Nearly Saturated From The Recent Heavy Rain... And This Additional Heavy Rainfall Will Likely Result In Rapid Runoff And Areas Of Flooding.

A Flash Flood Watch Means That Conditions May Develop That Lead To Flash Flooding. Flash Flooding Is A Very Dangerous Situation.

Ya know I lived in OK for most of my life and I have never seen real flooding, despite warnings. It is just so flat...where is the water going to collect??
