Latest Upper Air Analysis Revealed A Short Wave From Southern Iowa
To East Plains Of Colorado. Surface Analysis Showed A 1032mb High
Over Mid South. Short Range Models Are In Agreement The Short Wave
Diving Southeast And Digging Over Red River Valley Today And Over
Southeast Louisiana And South Mississippi This Evening. Lower
Levels From The Surface To 875mb Remains Dry Through Tonight.
However...moisture Associated With Short Will Advect In 850mb And
Above. Model Sounding At Mcb Revealed Precipitation Processes
Occurring At 4kft To 8kft Below Freezing...melting And Evaporating
In The Lower Levels Near Surface This Afternoon Through Tonight.
Will Reinsert Slight Chances Of Very Light Rain...unidentified
Precipitation...ip...is Possible This Evening To Midnight.
However...precipitation Will Be Light ... Slightly Above Trace
Amounts. Lowered Thickness Will Maintain Temps Near Normal Until
Friday.

Short Term...(today And Tonight). Current Gfs And Nam Bring Next
S/w Trof Across Ms An Al Later Today And Tonight. With Some Residual
Moisture Mostly In The Mid To Upper Levels And Sfc To H8 Near Or
Slightly Below Freezing A Few Snow Flurries Will Be Possible In
Advance Of This Vigorous Upper System. No Accumulations Are
Expected. Will Stay Close To Current Mav Guidance For Temps. /

Over The Southern States. Meanwhile...a Disturbance High In The
Atmosphere Was Moving East Out Of The Plains.

.short Term...(tonight And Wednesday)...we Are Seeing A Large Canopy
Of Clouds Stretching From Texas Northward Into Missouri Associated
With Southern Plains Energy Aloft. As This Feature Translates
Eastward...sky Condition Tonight Is Forecast To Cloud Up. Outside Of
A Small Layer In The Planetary Boundary Layer A Couple Degrees Above
Zero Celsius...most Of The Forecast Soundings Tonight...mainly Over
The Interior Will Trend Below Freezing. With Low To Mid Level
Moisture Increasing With Approach Of Disturbance...wouldn`t Be
Surprised To Get Some Reports Of Snow Flurries. Due To The Drier
Airmass Closer To The Surface ...flurries Should Be Very Light And
Probably Very Hard To Detect Unless Viewing The Sky Near A Light
Source. Not Forecasting Any Kind Of Probability Of Precipitation Or
Accumulation As Expect If Flurry Action Is Reported Would` Be
Measureable...we Can Cover With Short Term Forecasts. See No Reason
To Depart From The Gfs Mos With Regard To Temperatures. /10
