'Donkey Kong' Sex Game Suspect Facing Additional Rape Charge
Boston Under Investigation For Unrelated Case Involving 12-year-Old
POWHATAN PT., Ohio -- Charles Roger Boston, one of two men charged with having sex with juvenile girls as part of a competition with a friend, has been charged with a separate felony rape charge.
Powhatan Point Police Chief Chet Oldfield told NEWS9 that while Belmont County sheriff's deputies were interrogating Boston on Wednesday, he confessed to a separate rape.
Oldfield told NEWS9 that in July of 2005, a 12-year-old girl from the village had told police she'd been involved in a sexual relationship with Boston.
Boston, who is 29 years old, initially denied the allegations, police said.
In October of 2005, police obtained a warrant for a DNA sample from Boston and had sent it to a crime lab in Virginia.
Those test results still have not come back.
Oldfield said after Boston's confession on Wednesday, he immediately filed felony rape charges with the Belmont County prosecutor.
Boston and an as-yet-unnamed 27-year-old man are also accused of several counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. The 27-year-old suspect is in jail on an unrelated charge, police said.
Belmont County Sheriff Fred Thompson told NEWS 9 the two men were involved in a competition to see who could sleep with the greatest number of underaged girls.
Thompson said the two men had given their game the code name "Donkey Kong."
"Donkey Kong" was a popular arcade video game in the 1980s.
At least three girls between the ages of 13 and 15 have been identified as alleged victims in this case, but the sheriff believes there are more.
Thompson said the girls were not forced into having sex, and he believes the two men charged are the only men involved in the case.
