Why is everyone obsessed with that stupid shoutbox ? You did without it for close to 2-3 years!

I didn't do without it cause it was here when I joined. You may think it is stupid but not everyone feels that way. It is a great way to pop in say hi and see if anyone is actually at their computer that you can discuss something with.

BTW: Not good for a mod to call any part of the forum "Stupid"

Its fine for a mod to call a part of the forum stupid

I help Rollie with tons of things on this forum, and I think I have full power to voice my opinion on whether a feature is stupid

I'm not saying I dont like the shoutbox... I'm saying its gotten to the point where I think its stupid because everyone whines and complains when its gone .

Yep, you have your opinion just like everyone else and I voiced mine as did others.

A mod calling a feature of the board that people obviouly like and want back stupid is not good because it makes it look like the mod(s) may have had something to do with it being taken away. That can cause unspken tension amongst mod(s) and posters and that is not good. Not saying that happened in this case just what could happen or what could be perceived.

Go ahead express away...but think about the underlying responsibilities of a mod and the consequences of your opinion first if you truly want to support HCW.

Don't remember and don't care. Just trying to help keep tension down on the board.

No skin off my nose as I enjoy laughing at the drama but it is not always in the best interest of the board to have drama.

I wasn't mad at Jason...heck I have never been mad at anyone here. I was just pointing out to him that what was posted was not incorrect.

BTW: I didn't remember because I was never mad at him. However at times I do have a bad memory only because I am so old I have learned so many things everything can't fit into my brain at once and sometimes somthing pops out. LOL...go ahead laugh you will be old one day too /jumpforjo

I would think about bringing the shoutbox back if more people started posting and starting new threads etc

This place was on fire in the winter :)
