Holiday Weekend

Will you be off for the three day weekend? I am - but will be doing work around the house - after two weeks of rain - my yard is a jungle.

Plan on barbquing though!!!

Have nothing special planned for the weekend, although I HOPE I come up with something fun to do. Can't do fireworks here-SUCKS!!!

Truly it does suck but people around here are so STUPID with fireworks. A couple of years ago some new neighbors thought it would be cool to shoot off bottle rockets or whatever they're called. Got LOVELY holes in my greenhouse from their idiot behaviour.

Uh NO. And the horror stories we get starting July 1 about people having parts of their bodies blown off due to firework use is disgusting.

Hell you can go outside the county (or incorporated areas) and purchase them and then have the cops stop you as soon as you get into the "no firework" zone and get a lovely ticket.

They usually set up places around the city to watch them like downtown, which is impossible to get in or out of. Or Astroworld, which costs a small fortune. I'd be happy with a few sparklers for heaven's sakes!
