Our first INVEST area for 2012 is located in the extreme eastern portion of the Yucatan Channel near 22.0N;86.0W, Max Sustained wind 30 MPH. The disturbance is displaying a very slow northward drift at the moment, based on satellite loop imagery. The system has become slightly better organized over the past couple of hours.
