We had a nice line of Thunderstorms roll across LA today. Not to much damage reported (mostly b/w Alexandria and Lafayette). This system to cause wide spread flooding issues. First intercept: Just South of Breaux Bridge, LA

Tonight I stared at the sun for a little bit, so to speak. I took this photo of a very large active sunspot, which has been causing northern lights events. The sunspot is over 150000km long, which is more than 11 Earths laid end-to-end. Sunspot by D. Brim, on Flickr
