For The North Atlantic...caribbean Sea And The Gulf Of Mexico...

Shower And Thunderstorm Activity Over The North-central Gulf Of
Mexico Is Associated With A Weak Surface Trough Of Low Pressure.
Upper-level Winds Are Forecast To Be Unfavorable For Significant
Development Of This System As It Moves Slowly North-northwestward
Over The Next Day Or Two.

A Tropical Wave Has Emerged Off The West Coast Of Africa And Shows
Some Signs Of Organization. Some Slow Development Of This System
Is Possible Over The Next Couple Of Days As It Moves To The
West-northwest At About 15 Mph.

Elsewhere...tropical Cyclone Formation Is Not Expected During The
Next 48 Hours.

Keep an "eye" on this disturbance. About two weeks out and a strong Bermuda/Azores Ridge. Should keep movement to the W. Long Tracker possible./toast

East-southeast Of The Cape Verde Islands. This System Has Become
Better Organized Over The Past Several Hours...and Additional
Development Is Possible As It Moves Slowly West-northwestward.
Interests In The Cape Verde Islands Should Monitor The Progress Of
This System.
