Laura and her sibling look to be in the gulf at the same time! Has this happened before?

par for the course in 2020...

I'm right in the center of the cone for Depression 14. Since I'm far inshore, I don't expect hurricane force winds; even if it's a hurricane at landfall.

We've been in near drought conditions, which will have an effect on the storm. If it weakens to a tropical storm at landfall, there won't be torrential rains; unless it stalls; which has happened before.

Where are you Jess? Beaumont?
**Well, never mind...I just got back to my station and saw the shift in forecast. So? Victoria? Big Grin

West of Beaumont, but I too just looked at how it's turned toward Victoria. That puts us on the eastern side, which can bring too much rain.

West of Beaumont...Winnie, Fannett, Anahuac, Hamshire. That's where my wife is from and where we have a ton of family and friends.

Hardin County. As of the latest forecast, I'll miss the winds, but the rain may keep us wet until the end of next week.
