wait, i spoke to soon, NOW its time for the world to officially end. Ii want to stay up and see it become the strongest ever.... but i got to sleep, ill just see it tomorrow. probably around 700 then

WOW a CAT5.... it was like 989 mb 24 hours ago. In less then 24 hours it dropped like 90MB that has to be a record.

it doesn't even look that organized yet. Rita and Katrina looked more circular... Wilma still has more to go...

WOW 3 Cat5's in the GOM in the same year. WTF is going on in the tropics. I was looking back and on average there is only about 5 - 6 Cat3+ hurricanes to make landfall in the US every 10 year period. Between Florida last year (3) and the 3 so far this year plus now Wilma, that's 7 in the last 14 months.

Absolutely nothing at all unusual for an unsheared, WNW-tracking hurricane gliding past the top of Honduras over the warmest, deepest waters in the Atlantic basin.
