Depending on how worse things get, ill have a link to my live webcam. We expect to get hurricane force winds on monday, so it might be cool. If not, I will atleast post video.

Looks as if Southern and Central FL will have a higher likelyhood of tornadic activity as a baroclinic zone extends across the region. Tampa....Orlando....Fort Myers.....Miami....Key West....you are all included in that region.

Wilma main thread - The Bug - 10-23-2005 11:00 AM

um... yeah so that would include me ......great, just great.

Wilma main thread - bobbo4554 - 10-23-2005 11:02 AM

yeah starting later this afternoon its gonna be quite nasty through central and south florida. Yeah im in that tornado belt as well and i live in a mobile home just lovely.

Wilma main thread - The Bug - 10-23-2005 11:06 AM

Bob, come stay with me. Seriously, no biggie - come over and you can camp out here. Slumber party - except you dont' get to sleep in my bed - there have to be rules. But, in all honesty, think about it and email me at [email protected] if you are up for i t.

Wilma main thread - Brett Adair - 10-23-2005 11:08 AM

Looks to be the beginnings tonight. The cane is progged to be about 100 miles SW of the FL coastline by 7pm. You guys are going to experience the right front quad....could get quite dangerous.

Also, heard on the local news that Counties in South West Florida will stop responding to Emergency calls once winds are up to 45 mph. They will pick back up after the storm passes. Keep that in mind if you are in SWFL.

Curfews
are already in affect for Counties Polk and South starting at 2 a.m. Monday Morning.

Wilma main thread - Calrissian - 10-23-2005 11:20 AM

hmm.
looking at the Dvorak' Wilma has a good strong West and Northern Flank, plenty active development. If only Wilma can just get that eastside a bit more integrated, we'd be looking at a much more cohesive storm, one that will better survive the shear from that nasty cold front just to the north.

Looks like Tampa Bay is safe, aside from the odd tornado that might wander by.

Wilma main thread - Orlando - 10-23-2005 11:23 AM

Not looking forward to the tornados - I am in south Orlando very close to Kissimmee which had a lot of tornados during Charlie and the other canes last year - Also there is a lot of open field by me.
