Wilma main thread - Orlando - 10-23-2005 10:01 PM

Something that really bothers me is that there are no tornado sirens anywhere in Orlando that I'm aware of, or at least not anywhere near me. Maybe it will take a storm like this that will produce so many tornados at night when people have no way of knowing it is coming for somebody to stand up and make it happen. I hope that my prediction does not come true, but maybe somebody on this board knows someone on the political side that can address this issue.

Wilma main thread - Chris48 - 10-23-2005 10:08 PM

True that for FLA. But I know i live near melbourne and our road has an Amergency broadcast system run by my neighbor. just a hock up to the nws radio incase somthing happens. can hear for about a mile which is cool.

Chris48....

Feel free to jump into the Nowcast thread and post the official information. Interesting to know that Orlando doesn't have tornado sirens. I think you should get in touch with Jeb.
