    Question Mouse or rollerball

I use both, but prefer a rollerball. (do they still make rollerballs?)

    right on Rollerbal Preferred

Microsoft Stopped making them for some reason

Logitech has some good laser ones including a wireless but the best one is about 50

Current on hand is a wired Logitech Index finger rollerball, preffered is the one that has a thumbcontrol one with a scroller wheel which is what the old classic Microsoft had.

Last time I looked a new in the box classic Microsoft went for 4 times it's MSRP

Last time at the store I thought I still saw roller balls, they've been renamed track balls I think. Our CAD guys prefer them to mice

Inferred mouse. Hate the roller mouse b/c of the lent issues, especially when you are digitizing. I have tried the thumb roller ball and liked it, but I was not spending my on money for it.

"There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

I think by roller ball, Jess meant trackball?

In which case, they are still made. http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/mi...alls/&cl=us,en

They're particularly big with the carpal tunnel crowd (like my dad) since they don't require any wrist movement to use.

Logitech G7 wireless laser mouse. The first one died after about a year of use, and Logitech sent me a replacement at no charge. Great gaming mouse.
