This photo is misleading.

First of all... is Mrs. Obama even getting off Air Force One in her picture as Mrs. Bush is? That makes a big difference.

Secondly, was Mrs. Bush on an official East Wing visit? Was Mrs. Obama on vacation?

There is certainly an explanation to the difference.

Maybe not so misleading. Who are the two Air Force guys next to the ramp? That suggests that it's a flight on an official aircraft, whether it be Air Force One, or not.don't you think the "First Lady" has an obligation to the people of this country to represent them in the best light possible? Spiff up,lady....When you step off the plane, look like a class act,not a Katrina refugee looking for the Astrodome.

I'm in a different school of thought.

If she's on an official speaking tour or anything of that nature, then yes, she should dress appropriately. And seeing as Mrs. Obama is the equivalent of a modern day Jackie Kennedy (both known for high fashion)... I think it's a little left field to trash talk her clothing. If she's on vacation, she can dress as she pleases within reason. And I like the fact my First Lady can act so casual.

I just think there are more important things to worry about than Michelle Obama's casual attire. Is this what American has come to?

No,but I think this is where she is taking us. To me, in the position she's in,it's just sloppy. And I don't see a correlation at all with Jackie O. Hell, Michelle couldn't even carry Jackie O's makeup bag.
