glad you are OK, very good life lesson...but I think I was lucky many times in my youth and it seems like the rules were different back then, I think if I was wasted and totaled my car, the cops would laugh at me and my misfortune and not bother arresting me.
Is your passenger OK, or was that a flying cell phone hit on the windshield?
It was an accident; and I don't deserve to be labeled a monster over all this. Cowards act like I did it on purpose, and act like I ain't got a few cuts on my head. Well lucky for you your airbag probably saved you. Right or wrong, accident or not a simple click would have saved you and your passenger a lot of suffering.

Thats no way to treat an accident victim. I been in the hospital for a week, that car spun out in the rain and my back and neck are killing me ! I may never walk again asshole !
Hmm, sounds like you could have been charged with reckless, too.
Also, looking over this again, if that's ALL of the damage your car took after doing 70MPH and hitting a fucking telephone pole, you must be the luckiest man alive. You would have been thrown from the car if you weren't wearing a belt, air bag or not, yet there is absolutely no windshield damage on the driver side.
