Tropical Depression #10
We made our trip to Pensacola anyway (had to for work), and hit very, very little rain on the way early this afternoon, driving in from New Orleans between 12 and 3 pm. We had some rain around 5-6 pm, otherwise overcast where we are. Nothing major at all. I've been through many nor'easters that were worse than this. At least some fun stuff we wanted to do with the kids can be salvaged if this thing is gone by morning. Maybe we'll go to the beach tomorrow to see if Jim Cantore is still prowling around...

Tropical Depression #10
All this hype for nothing, outside of damaging tornado in Eustis, FL. We had intermittent showers last night and two batches of rain on Thursday from it, despite 70 and 80% chances of numerous showers and thunderstorms. I will say it again, but it was more like a winter storm system situation where a low stalls and keeps cloud cover overhead for days on end. In its wake, we have another sunless day today with showers rotating northward on and near the coast...

I enjoyed those photos! We had some nice cumulus type cloud structures on the back side of the system yesterday evening. Today we were socked with clouds and light rain, a very dark and dreary day...

Tropical Depression #10
Did anyone else notice that when this storm first formed as a sub-tropical depression it was referred to as STD 10? It just seems these weather people always use acronyms to try and make the weather a simplex!
