Tropical Depression #10
If that comes true, I might have to take my rain gear to a retreat I'm going to next weekend...

Tropical Depression #10
I know some of you do not go along with Accuweather; yet, Accuweather is breaking the news softly:
Tropical Hot Spot Number One Updated: Friday, September 14, 2007 2:52 PM The area east of Florida could be a hot spot for tropical development early next week. Beginning Sunday, rain clouds will start to gather over that part of the ocean. The other important player will be a big high pressure system to the north. Sometimes, a high in that position will hand off some reverse spin to the tropics, much like the meshing of gears. When that happens, a tropical storm can form. We'll watch for any sign of this early next week. In the near term, it's just something to keep in the back of your mind. And.... Tropical Hot Spot Number Two Updated: Friday, September 14, 2007 2:52 PM There is reason to believe that tropical development could begin in the southern Caribbean as early as Sunday. There is already a large area of convection in the area as shown on the current satellite picture. Furthermore, the flow will be aligned properly, and the water could not be any warmer. If a tropical system does form in this area, it would probably pursue a track toward the north and northwest, eventually bringing it into the Gulf of Mexico later next week. This will be another one of those watch and wait situations. ![]() |
