that this past year's weather has been awfully severe? Record draught, earthquakes (one today) above average tornadoes, vicious hurricanes last summer in South America, major floods and record snowfall......
What are the statistics pointing to for the hurricane season??

I wouldn't go that far...because it seems each year is worse than the year before and in the past two years...the hurricane season has been blah.

The weather is constantly changing. I might add that earthquakes really have nothing to do with severe weather. Unless I missed something in school

But, seriously, look back. when we were having the WORST hurricane seasons 2004/2005 the tornados and droughts weren't as bad as now - right?

Look into it...but I bet it wasn't. Of course, this years tornado season isn't even over...it is just starting.

I know what you're saying. I am just wondering what the stats say about the relationship between severe winter weather and the hurricane season that follows. And you're right...earthquakes aren't "weather" related, but it is something that is happening within our planet. Another natural disaster. I'm maybe just being a premature worrier.

For example: "Record cold in Minn. 40 below" (today's headline)
