Yeah, I wholeheartedly agree. That damned storm shook my house when it passed over. Guess they had to catch up on nap time. :confused:

...fay weakening but rainfall continues across the southeast...

Flash flood watches remain in effect for portions of eastern
alabama...northern georgia...the far western florida
panhandle...much of eastern tennessee...and portions of southwest
north carolina and northwest south carolina. Flood warnings remain
in effect for portions of alabama...georgia...and florida.

At 1000 am cdt...15z...the remnant low associated with fay was
located near latitude 34.7 north...longitude 87.2 west...or 25
miles... 39 km west of huntsville alabama.

The remnant low is moving north at 16 mph...25 km/hr. The forecast
track indicates that the remnants of fay will continue moving into
tennessee tonight and wednesday morning...and accelerate
northeastward across eastern kentucky on wednesday evening.

Maximum sustained winds are 20 mph...with higher gusts. The
remnants of fay will be incorporated into a mid-latitude trough
tonight across central appalachia. The minimum central pressure is
1004.9 mb...29.66 nches.

Isolated maximum amounts of 8 inches are possible across the
appalachians.

Isolated tornadoes are possible today across georgia...and the
carolinas.

Repeating the 1000 am cdt position...34.7 north...87.2
west...movement toward the north at 16 mph. Maximum sustained
winds...20 mph. Minimum central pressure...1004.9 mb.

The next advisory will be issued by the hydrometeorological
prediction center at 400 pm cdt. Please refer to your local
national weather service office or weather.gov for further
information on fay.
