Hey y'all. My SIL and I decided to take the kids to Mississippi this weekend. We have a generator at home but no internet and 1/4 of our roof is gone. We had a huge oak tree branch in our pool but it caused no damage. My husband has a work crew from Mexico for the farm but they cleaned our yard and he's been able to line up other yard work for them because it's been too wet to plant cane. The New Orleans news reported tonight that Lafourche,my home parish, and Terrebonne will not have electricity until October 1-UGH.

We just got power back on tonight!! /bana We stayed for the storm and had some large limb damage, took a small one through the roof, but nothing terrible... I have to say that having a gennie has made this the BEST bad 'cane I have weathered... It was a PITA but much easier than others like Katrina (4 days, no juice), Andrew (2 weeks no juice), etc.
Now to catch up on laundry before the next one starts knockin' on our door... Hope everyone fared well!!
