Wind; I'm no expert but as a chaser I'd stick with the closet. I've seen cars after old scale F5's that look like they were bailed like hay. I wouldn't want to be inside that. No one place is totally safe.

Above ground the safest place is an interior room with no windows. in the basement, not the SW corner. The best would probably be an interior room in the basement. The only truly safe palce is an underground storm shelter away from the structure. There are companies that will construct these for you.
