There is something the GFS has at 300+ hours out into the GOM, but I'm not sure this is it.

GOM storm! Smile I will be making one post per day.
All kidding aside..i wouldn't mind a weak cat 1 hitting upper texas coast. Our heat dome will protect us from too much damage and we really need the rain to move this high pressure away for good.

30%

Quote:[Image: atl1.gif] Return to Atlantic Graphical TWO
1. A TROPICAL WAVE CENTERED A FEW HUNDRED MILES SOUTHEAST OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS IS PRODUCING A LARGE AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS APPEAR CONDUCIVE FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THIS WAVE DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AS IT MOVES WESTWARD AT 10 MPH. THIS SYSTEM HAS A MEDIUM CHANCE...30 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.
