Gorgeous day today!! Clean and cool and actually chilly this morning. Love the day after a storm moves through.

We're getting some rain up here from the remnants of Lee. The areas that are getting it worse are western New England; the areas that were hardest hit by Irene. Additional flooding is possible.

Bad situation. Thankfully, it looks like Katia will move away. No telling how bad it would get if she came ashore on top of Lee's remnants. Prayers are with you all up there.

Vermont gets a lot of tourism because of their foliage and the state is very difficult to navigate right now (lots of road closures). The main ways up to some of the ski resorts (US4, VT100) are also significantly damaged, which could hurt them a lot down the line. |

Well, that was fun last night. We have got so much needed rain. I'll admit, I was spooked last night, I really hate the wind. We had only a small teeny piece of what fury a tropical system can dish out. I always said I would like to sit through a cat 1 or 2 hurricane but now I realize I'd be a chicken LOL. You guys that sit through them have way more cojones than I do!
The wind shows us how close to the edge we are. ~Joan Didion Umm yeah I dont know who that is but it sounds profound so I'm leaving it there ![]() |

Me too, Xanadu. I HATE strong winds-thus, my name "Windwatcher". I literally sit in the window and watch the wind when it gets stormy! What a psycho I am.

No wind here in 08807, but Lee is definately getting his train on.....Neverending band of torrential rain. And tons of thunder and lightning. Which I wasn't expecting......And once again. More flooding. Power is out again in towns devastated by Irene. Lots 'o' Fun
