Some of the worst flooding this area has seen since Agnes here and could possibly top Agnes when it is all said and done!

I'm about 35 miles west of DC in Northern Virginia and have had 4.17 in of rain from Lee so far. On Saturday we had over an inch of rain ahead of Lee. Fortunately, we're well above the 100 year flood plain and the storm sewers are holding up well.

Central Jerz....Two towns over from Mannville (decimated in Irene) and 3 towns over from Bound Brook.(leveled in Floyd)

Manville is flooded right now Not quite as bad as Irene. But almost...No way in or out of town.

Is Katia expected to produce more rain? Or is she far enough east not to effect these flooded areas?

It has surpassed Hurricane Agnes! The National Weather Service reported the Susquehanna crested at 38.83, but that was based upon a faulty flood gauge. The unofficial crest was 42.66. The levees and flood gates built to retain 41' spared downtown Wilkes-Barre for the most part, but they have been leaking and are under much stress as they wait for flood waters to recede.
