For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane
Irma, located near the northern coast of central Cuba, and on
Hurricane Jose, located just north-northeast of the northern Leeward
Islands.

1. Showers and thunderstorms associated with a tropical wave
located a few hundred miles south of the Cabo Verde Islands have
shown some signs of organization today. Environmental conditions
are expected to support at least some additional development, and a
tropical depression could form in a couple days while the system
moves generally northwestward over the eastern Atlantic Ocean.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent.
