Are there any hurricane hunters there? I remember some in Mexico City and the footage was frightening.

The eye of Laura is visible on Lake Charles radar. It appears the westward motion ended, and the storm is now moving North. If so, the landfall will be directly south of Lake Charles. Time will tell.

Local barometric readings on the coast at landfall location are showing steady. It appears the degradation is starting.
