000 Abnt20 Knhc 291514 Twoat Tropical Weather Outlook Nws Tpc/national Hurricane Center Miami Fl 1130 Am Edt Fri Jul 29 2005 For The North Atlantic...caribbean Sea And The Gulf Of Mexico... The National Hurricane Center Is Issuing Advisories On Tropical Storm Franklin... Located About 240 Miles South-southeast Of Halifax Nova Scotia. Satellite Images And Surface Observations Indicate That An Area Of Low Pressure Has Developed In The Northern Leeward Islands Associated With A Vigorous Tropical Wave. Although Upper-level Winds Are Not Favorable For Significant Development...there Is A Potential For A Tropical Depression To Form Later Today Or Saturday...as The System Moves Toward The West Or West-northwest At 15 Mph. An Air Force Plane Is Scheduled To Investigate The System This Afternoon. Squally Weather Will Likely Occur Over The Northern Leeward Islands... The Virgin Islands... Puerto Rico...and Hispaniola Today And Saturday. This Area Should Closely Monitor The Progress Of This System. Satellite Images Indicate That Cloudiness And Showers Have Increased In Central Bahamas. This Activity Is Associated With A Westward Moving Tropical Wave And An Upper-level Low. Surface Pressures Are High And There Are No Signs Of Surface Circulation. Further Development... If Any...will Be Slow To Occur. Shower Activity Associated With A Tropical Wave Located Several Hundred Miles East Of The Windward Islands Has Diminished. Elsewhere... Tropical Storm Formation Is Not Expected Through Saturday.
