MIke stay safe.

There is a confirmed tornado down in Lake Placid....where my parents live.

I really hate these storms that roll in at darkness.

crap.

I can hear things hitting the building and loud bands sounds liek possible transformers but I still see the traffic lights are up.

So, I am not sure. good gusts coming through. I talked to my mom they are still safe.

Update on my dad's nursery - south end is gone. North end is pretty damaged we are waiting for her to be out of the area completely before he will know the extent of the damage.

Winds in Lake Placid are N 30 Gusts 45

fingers still crossed for the north side nursery.

I am still getting the banging up stairs. NOt sure. Not going up there though. Temps have dropped. It is like 72 in the house right now.

We will go right into winter tonight from that cold front. Lows in the 50's. I think the cold temps have already taken over. brrrrr.........

It's good to have cool temps when your power is out of a week. It has never been like when we had a cane .

I think I wil lbe lucky and no power loss.

I jsut talked to my granddaddy in Bartow. Said that he still has power and it is "blowing like a dickens" lol... God bless him 84 years old and has more energy than I do.

haven't heard from mom lately. Talked to dad around 6:30 to get an update on the nursery.

Jeffie- are you out there??? At least log on to say how you are.

Just getting in here....Katie, Mike, all you guys in south Florida stay safe! You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Don't know how long I'll have internet service as our corporate offices are in Boca. We got emails on Friday that if they lose power, we lose internet, email, our system for work, etc. It must be getting bad there as there is no email, can't log into our system to do my work, no interoffice instant messaging....don't know how long I'll have internet. I'm here til that's gone to keep check on you guys!

Just lost a tree in my backyard - Hopefully that will be the only thing I lose from this one
