Implementing Dynamic Radar Files On A Website
On my website, I am working on putting together a radar loop. The files are automatically uploaded, and the loop is working great. The filenames are automatically created with a timestamp at the end of the image.
In addition to the loop, I want to have the last image called from a different link. But since the filename changes each time, I do not know how to call the file in my HTML. Any thoughts, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much. Corey |

As far as I know, you cannot have dynamic links in HTML alone. You have to use java script, vbscript, php, perl etc... to "figure" out what the link should be.
Most sites that contain radar imagery also have some type of "latest.gif" image file naming convention to allow you to get the latest image. If you don't see one, you could ask the webmaster of the site. HTH Bryan |
