Anyone knows how to fix scratches on cds or DVDs? Iâm looking at a motorized repair system but not sure if they really work. Any help would be appreciated!

Does that really work Roll?? We have a bunch of DVDs that really probably should be thrown in the trash, we cannot get them to play. Where did you hear that?

I have sometimes had luck using furniture polish and a lint-free cloth to polish the data side of the disc. It doesn't always work, and it doesn't last long being as the wax is not as hard as the original plastic surface of the disc, but the wax can fill in the scratches long enough to burn a copy of the disc sometimes.

Works like a charm and I learned about it back when I had a Sega dreamcast and the games whould not play

Worked like a charm...I boiled for 2 minutes, pulled it out and patted it dry. Then took a hamburger bun, dressed it with lettuce, tomatoes, mustard and ketchup...then served with a cold beer! Caused a bit of indigestion, but nothing some Tums couldn't take care of!/bgsmile
